Everburning, eh?

So we played D&D again yesterday. We did two dungeons and it lasted somewhere around 6 hours but it was fun. But I think we all need to step back and think for a second . If a room in labeled "Certain Death" you probably shouldn't go in there. So yeah, 3 PC's died but overall the adventure was a complete success. Although some really good loot was lost when Lenny and Neko's character's were eaten since they had the Bag of Holding and Heward Handy Haversack. Plus Neko had most of his stuff in the bag of holding. Oh well. I'm gonna start working on a new dungeon pretty soon and hopefully we'll get to play again. After D&D we hung out for several hours. Neko went to Ben's ( I think) and Lenny went home to nap before work. Drake got stuck working late so we didn't see him at all. To bad, he's a fun guy. So yeah, we wandered around the neighborhood for a while, talked about stuff and had Arby's. We were heading to Hoagy's but they shut off their open sign as we walked into the Arby's parkinglot next door. It was kinda a bummer. Then we went back to my house, then to Tower then to my house and didn't play Monopoly, went to Carolyn's and played Munchkin with Brian. A lot more than I usually do on a day off. It was fun. Oh and Neko is giving me the Mage book because he's the coolest ever. I always wanted to have a chance to read through the whole thing but having a copy is even better. Thanks Neko. That's about it, I work in just about an hour then I might hang out with Brian some more since I never see him. Maybe I'll have something to update in a timely manner afterwards, but I'll doubt I'll remember.

A Dragon, a Robot and a Barbarian walk into a bar...

So we played D&D yesterday and it went pretty well.  I couldn't get the pen off my matt very well but that's ok. Just draw over it until it becomes a real problem. So yeah. I hope everyone had a good time playing. It looks like I have this coming Friday off and so does Adrienne so maybe we could try to arrange a game in the morning or early after noon?  Any takers? Well let me know. If not we'll find time to play. I know Neko has stuff on Fridays and Lenny works Friday evenings so it can't be too late. I was think 11-12ish if other schedules work, so yeah. LET ME KNOW!!!!

Bob

Ok, umm... I worked 6 hours today and it's wasn't bad. It didn't seem nearly as long as the 5 hour night shift I did. God that was so boring. But I'm gonna be doing 6 hours day shifts pretty frequently so it's not so bad. In other news, I beat Ninja Gaiden again and will be return Ostermiller's Xbox next time I see him. And to those of you in the D&D game, check your emails and let me know if you are coming or not. for all I know you all read the email and are coming, but just havn't said anything. But I must know. Give me knowledge!!!!

Subway. Eat Fresh.

So I get to work a split shift today. Go me =( 12:00-2:00 (just got home a little while ago) then 5:00-10:30. No fun. Oh well, at least I'm finially getting some hours. Wow, I'll have some money. Crazy idea. Anyway, no one comes to visit me at work, but then again I really don't have much time to talk to them while I'm at work. Hopefully the "dinner" shift will be slow. I don't think it gets very busy, but I've never worked it before so we'll see. Now it's time to relax until I go back to work...

And the winner is....

So guess what I found out when I went into work today...my assistant manager, Nate, quit. He walked out on the job the day before and now he's gone.  So I'm gonna be picking up a lot more hours, so maybe I won't be broke most of the time. Go me. Of course I'll have to work more often and for longer, but most days I don't do much anyway. Sometimes I hang out with people but not usually, so I'll have something to do. That kinda sucks about Nate though, he was kinda cool to talk to a bit and he didn't give me any crap at work. Oh well. Kinda screws him on a reference though.

I think that's most of it, oh and I'll be up for review and possible raise some time in the near future. So good times. I think I might actually posting my schedules since people want to hang out with me on occasion. But then again, that requires me remembering a weeks worth of schedule and usually I only remember the next day I work so yeah, we'll see. And I'm in all my classes, woohoo. I'll be in school from 8am until 5ish on mondays and wednesdays, and until 3ish fridays, I think.  So that'll be different. I usually only go from 8ish until 12 and then rush off to UPS, but I don't work there anymore! Enough of this nonsense, and I finished ninja gaiden. I need to contact someone people regarding some things soon, so yeah. Watch your emails and IM's.

War!! What is it Good for?

SO I have some information of impot to several people I know and if they check this blog they'll find it out. Well actually it's really only one piece of important information for them...anyway...
Important Information: Currently the United States government is reactivating retired military persons. People that have finished their service to this country are being recalled to duty because of this war. You may say...So? But here's what it affects us. If they are activating retired people the next very real and very possible step is an involuntary draft. My step-dad has informed me and Adrienne of this recently and I figure I should let you guys know. Handed down from somewhere up above him in the military chain is a memo saying these things and that the draft could start as early as September...this September. But wait it gets better. Congress doesn't have to approve the draft the president has full control of activating this draft because we are still in a State of emergency from September, 11 2001! He has a lot more power than most people realized (including me and my step-father) and can call a draft any day he wants. He hasn't yet for political reasons, but he could. It may be postponed due to the election and Bush may wait to try to get re-elected before drafting, but unless something happens quickly with this "war on terrorism" odds are good there will be a draft. And so Carolyn can sweat with us, they're thinking about starting to draft women too. Sorry. So I suggest everyone go see a recruiter and decide on a branch that you would like to go into. When the draft comes it's better not to have your branch picked for you. I recommend Air National Guard. But yeah, umm...sorry about that. I figured I should let everyone know. And Canada will send you back if you flee the country there, but I don't think Mexico will. So there it is.

The Other news: My step-father is going to Afghanistan for 18 months. He leaves in November I believe. It really sucks, and at that point Adrienne and I will probably be around less again. Anyway, that's all from here. Of course all this is subject to change so there may be no draft and my step-dad may not leave for a year and a half, but this is all what is looking very likely.

So lately things have been rather...annoying. I have no idea to do with so much free time since I got my new job and I'm not working everyday along with no school. I hung out with Lenny and I've hung out with Ostermiller, but since my sleep schedule gets me up around 6 with Adrienne, and even if I go back to sleep I'm usually up by 9:00 I still end up with several houra of not much to do. I've played the video games we have been they are failing to hold my interest as Adrienne or I have beaten them and it's all just replay now. I've started training myself with the wakazashi, but it's way hot outside, and my soulders can only take so much. I cleaned out my dresser just because I hadn't in forever, but now I don't have that to do anymore either. I guess I'll find something to do eventually. Adrienne and I picked up Eberron, Complete Warrior, Complete Divine, and Expanded Psionics books for D&D, so I've been going through those too and they seem to be rekindling my desire for D&D. Maybe I'll run something in the near future, but then again scheduling is always a difficult takes and I may just avoid the hassle all together and wait for other people to run something and then use my vast book resources to make some really fun characters. Anyway, toodles.
