Lightnings Tic-Tac's

I have redone the blog. It is now less offensive to the senses. Enjoy, I may actually post on a regular basis this time.

Norse Gods?!

At work these days we're been pretty busy. Getting the confidential meeting and reviews and what not ready. It was all very rushed. I missed lunch on a couple of occassions and worked all day. But now this has all died down. Over the past few days there has been very little going on indeed and i have found myself with little to do. I can't really do my homeowrk because one of my bosses doesn't like me sitting at my desk reading even if they have nothing for me to do. So I need to appear busy, and how does one appear busy at the State in the PSR project which is a part of the ITSD? They use the computer. Unfortunately my access is limted. Many webpages that would be considered offensive or vulgar are off limits (as well as the things you probably thought of as I first started this sentance). I cannot go to Maddox's webpage, nor the joke page I regularly visit. ANd after a while you just get tired of browsing the CoH/CoV. So how to look busy? One magic word WIKIPEDIA. That's right, I randomly browse the wikipedia articles, and it's actually quite fun I've found. Just hit random article and then link to things in that article (in a seperate window of course) and like to other things in those articles and pretty soon you have a rather asbsurd string of articles. It's like playing seven degrees of Kevin Bacon, except without Kevin Bacon, and it goes on well past seven on most occassions, and it's interesting. So that's what I do with my time many days at work. I have to say that at first I very much hated wikipedia, but it has grown on me in the past few weeks and now I think of it as a great source for pop culture information. For example, Yesterday Adrienne and I saw V for Vendetta and I decided to look up some information about it Viola, there it all. And I'll have tou know the information is not very in depth. Mostly factual story/publishing/author information, with some snipits here and there about themes and symbols in the graphic novel, not difficult to ascertain, but helpful none the less. Now please believe me when I sya I'm not being sarcastic here, because I'm not. While I may sound like I'm mocking Wikipedia, I most certainly am not. the information in it is not difficult information to gather, the real value in Wikipedia is the single location of so much information from so many sources. It condenses interviews, articles, rumors, and many other sources into these articles and still gives you access to these sources should you want to pursue your information furthur. That's the real beauty of it, it's so compact. I love it. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to read the plethora of articles dedicated to spiderman and his various villians.
