Lightnings Tic-Tac's

I have redone the blog. It is now less offensive to the senses. Enjoy, I may actually post on a regular basis this time.

Two Cities

SO I've got good news and bad news I suppose. It's not really bad news to any of you, but yeah, I'll just continue. I am so tired of everything. Work, school. I just want a break. Everything is stupid and work. It really is. I was trying to have locking cabinets put into a conference room to store confidential materials at the behest of one of my bosses and after a week and a half of trying to do this my higher up bosses decided they didn't want to cabinets in there because they're ugly. It's a cabinet! It's not suppose to be pretty it's suppose to be functional. So yeah. That and no one else around here has any significant amount of work so I'm the only one doing anything and even if I don't have anything to do I can't work on homework anymore because it's not professional. It really is depressing working on projects and having people all around you just talking about "Stargate: Atlantis" or what they're doing this weekend or did last weekend.

And school, oh man school. The Lit Mag has been nothing but a nightmare this semester. I won't go into details, but Merson is more disorganized than ever and expects us to pick up the slack that we didn't know existed until a couple days ago. So yeah. Sac State is just generally more work than ARC ever was. Plus I have to take a stupid test this Saturday or I can't take any more classes at Sac State because I have so many units. It's a writing proficiency test. I'm an English major. If I don't know how to write then I think they would catch it somewhere along the way. (The same goes for philosophy majors. Seriously, they should be writing philosophy stuff all the time). Why do we need a test for this? If you ask me (which I did I said "Hey Chase, what do you think of the WPE?) they should get rid of this test and maybe teach people to write in ENGLISH 1A (Or the equivalent) or maybe, just maybe, in high school. So enough about that, it just pisses me off that I lose several hours of my Saturday to that. The rest of school is fine I suppose. I dislike having a class that goes until 9:20 at night, but I really like the class and the teacher.

And then there was good news too. I've been going to my Capoeira classes a lot and it's great fun. I'm getting better and better all the time. I really like it and that tends to brighten up my days after work or the Lit Mag. But the really great news is that next semester at Sac State there will be a Capoeira Class. Galego will be teaching a class on Tuesday and Thursday at 9:00 (at least that's the plan) at Sac State. I think that's awesome. It'll be great for Galego, great for ADB, and great for Caopeira in general. (Which reminds me, since I haven't been at Lenny's lately to hound Brian about starting Capoeira I'll do it here. HOUND HOUND HOUND HOUND HOUND). Also, I'm working on getting a couple people from the Lit Mag to come try out Capoeira because it's super rad. So yeah. That's most of it. Adrienne and I don't get out much right now because everything is busy. And speaking of Adrienne, she might be getting a new job soon with the state. A real state job with all the real benefits (I don't get benefits, and technically I don't work for the state but that's not something I'm going to get into). So yeah for Adrienne. She's the winner. I think that's all for my rant/good news too.

So much reading

So I've been pretty busy lately. Lots of school, and work and homework and yeah, it's crazy. The weekend away in Tahoe was very nice though. We didn't do as much as originally planned, but it was nice to just be away. Plus, playing in the snow like a spaz is fun. Adrienne and I made a snow volcano and a snow fort with battlements. Then it got too dark and we had to go in, but that's ok. We out some stuff about the Capoeira people. They're interesting people, and good people. And we watched the Shining. It's a little scarier when you're in a cabin in the snow. I suppose it would have been a lot scarier if there hadn't been cabins all around us, but oh well.

And as for City Of villains, I know I haven't been on much, but you can blame Adrienne for that. She got me playing WoW. It's like a simplified version og Everquest. After a brief stint playing that game I have returned to CoV. And I suggest everyone else get their butts on there two, issue 7 is coming soon. And I have Spring Break next week at Sac State, but not at AR. Blarg. Relax all day, go to one class at 3 on Tuesday and Thursday. At least I get the relax all day part I suppose. So that's it for now. I still suggest that everyone go try out Capoeira.
